Chapter 24-5 began life as members of Chapter 24-3. In March of 2016 we were awarded Detachment status, 24-3A. In December 2017, we became the independent Chapter 24-5 “Two 45’s”. This was the inspiration for our chapter patch seen below.
We continue to grow, in size and in territory. Currently we have the southern 26 counties in Southern Illinois. Our members come from Effingham southward to Cairo, from the Metro East eastward into Indiana. We are based out of Bluford, but hold our meetings at Roadhouse Harley-Davidson in Mt Vernon. As we are now in our riding season, we are rotating our meetings throughout our region. This makes us more accessible for those who wish to meet us. Here are a few of our members being “patched in.”
On February 20th, 2018 we incorporated as an Illinois corporation. On March 13th, we officially became a registered 501c3 Non-Profit Charitable Organization. On March 27th, the NBOD approved our chapter patch and the design was filed with the USPTO.
